As our neighbors around the Midwest recover from devastating tornadoes, Harvesters and the Feeding America network are stepping up to help.

A combined 39,500 pounds of cleaning supplies and water, along with a refrigerated truck for ongoing use, were sent to hard-hit Kentucky just two days after the storm hit in mid-December.

The following day, another load filled with more than 1600 disaster relief food boxes were shipped out to storm victims in Arkansas. These food boxes contain ready-to-eat foods, like tuna, chicken, and peanut butter.

A week later, more water was sent to our neighbors in Geary Co., Kan. as neighbors there were recovering from storm damage and widespread power outages.

Harvesters-The Community Food Network will continue to supply items as needed as the long road to recovery continues.  FOX4 News Kansas City also shared a little about our disaster relief response in this recent news story.
