Day of Service Shawnee County Food Drive

The Governor and Lieutenant Governor will be hosting free events in communities across the state of Kansas in order to include every region of the Sunflower State in the 2023 inaugural festivities. Check out the full day of service events here.

Harvesters is proud to partner with Governor Laura Kelly and Lieutenant Governor David Toland for the Day of Service Shawnee County Food Drive!

Time: 8:00 a.m. –  5:30 p.m.
Location: SW 8th &, SW Van Buren St, Topeka, KS 66612

Volunteers can participate by donating nonperishable food in Harvesters’ barrels at the Kansas State Capitol. Donation barrels at the Kansas State Capitol can be found in the Visitor Center by the vending machines and on the first floor by the cage elevator. The barrels will be located in the Kansas State Capitol from January 5 – January 13. Or, you can also contribute by donating online at www.harvesters.org/kellytolandinaugural.

It's a 4-day leadership camp where they'll learn about food insecurity and how to be a part of the solution. It runs from June 20 to 23, so apply today!
