Join us on Saturday, December 9, as we continue preparing for this season’s holidays! Our goal for this event is to pack 1,000 holiday boxes and our amazing friends at Hy-Vee have agreed to match that number! Wow! Making an impact this year is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3!

1: Sign up your group for one of these volunteer times.
There are a limited number of volunteer slots available for each one-hour shift, so that we can ensure a meaningful experience for everyone!
9 – 10 a.m.
10:15 – 11:15 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
12:45 – 1:45 p.m.
2 – 3 p.m.

2: Plan to bring the nonperishible food items for one or more holiday boxes with you.
Each Holiday box should include the following items:
2 – 14.5 oz. Cans of Green Beans
1 – 15.25 oz. Can of Corn
1 – 14 oz. Can of Cranberry Sauce
1 – 15 oz. Can of Sweet Potatoes
1 – 10.5 oz. Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 – 8.5 oz. Box of Corn Muffin/Bread Mix
1 – 6 oz. Box of Stuffing Mix
1 – 6.6 oz. Box of Instant Mashed Potatoes
1 – .87 oz. Packet of Gravy Mix

Harvesters will provide the packing boxes, labels, and the “packed by” cards for you to put your boxes together. If you finish packing your boxes early, we would love to have your help with getting all the boxes we collect ready for distribution to our agency partners to share with our neighbors.

3: Come to the event!
We can’t wait to see you! Besides packing our holiday boxes, we’ll have other fun kid friendly activities and refreshments!

If you aren’t able to join us on December 9, but want still want to help, you can drop off the items for the holiday boxes, and we’ll do the packing for you! Email getinvolved@harvesters.org to make the arrangements.
