Help make the day brighter for seniors in your community by creating one (or more!) cards!

These cards will be included in our Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) boxes.

All greetings submitted must meet the following guidelines.

Please DO:

  • Include positive messages.
  • Let them know you are thinking about them.
  • Phrases like “Happy Holidays” , “Happy Valentine’s Day”, “Hopping into Spring”, and “Summer Fun” are fine but need to be seasonally appropriate. Food puns and generic messages are greatly appreciated.
  • Write legibly and spend time working on each card.

Please DO NOT:

  • Include any messages that are proselytizing, specific religious references (ex: God bless you, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, etc.), and/or religious pictures.
  • Include political messages.
  • Messages that advertise.
  • Include gifts (such as food or money) with your message.
  • Photocopy handwritten cards.
  • Use envelopes, as all messages must be reviewed by staff prior to distribution.

For every 10 cards, volunteers can receive 1 hour of service. Up to 8 hours per month, or 80 cards.*

*Please note this opportunity does not qualify for Court-Ordered Community Service Hours. Harvesters can only provide service hours credit for volunteers in our service area. If you are not located in our service area, we highly encourage you to find your local food bank and see what opportunities they offer.

Cards can be mailed or brought to our Kansas City or Topeka office at:
