The Youth Leadership Council is a program to educate, engage and empower middle- and high-school students in the fight against hunger. Council members will create, lead, and participate in opportunities focused on the issue of hunger, such as food and fund drives, service learning activities, poster displays, advocacy campaigns, and social media.

Each application will be judged on its own merits. Students will be selected on the basis of their participation in the Hunger Workshops and progress on their individual action plans, as well as the written application and a recommendation from an adult reference.
