What better way to celebrate Girl Scouts’ founder Juliette Low than with a service project that helps hungry families, children and seniors right here in your community! Plus, you’ll earn this awesome fun patch! All you have to do is complete these three steps by October 31.
1. Learn about Food Insecurity
Join us for a virtual experience where you’ll learn more about who is hungry in our community, how widespread the issue is, and what you can do to help Harvesters solve this problem. Register for the session you'd like to attend using the form below. A follow up email will be sent to you with login instructions.
Please DO NOT:
Include positive messages.
Let them know you are thinking about them.
Use phrases like “Happy Holidays” , "Happy Valentine's Day", "Hopping into Spring", and "Summer Fun" are fine but need to be seasonally appropriate. Food puns and generic messages are greatly appreciated.
Write legibly and spend time working on each card.
Include any messages that are proselytizing, specific religious references (ex: God bless you, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, etc.), and/or religious pictures.
Include political messages.
Messages that advertise.
Include gifts (such as food or money) with your message.
Photocopy handwritten cards.
Use envelopes as all messages must be reviewed by staff prior to distribution.
3. Pack and donate a Holiday Box
Collect the following items to pack and donate a Holiday Box for Harvesters to distribute to a family who needs a helping hand this holiday season.
Each Holiday box should include the following items:
