Harvesters’ Ambassador Planning Council is a four-member committee thatl collaborates with Harvesters' staff to support the volunteer Ambassadors throughout the year.
To provide continuity to the Council, four ambassadors will each serve a two-year term, with half of the group rotating off each year. Council members should be available to meet every other month (approximately six times per year) and attend the trainings/activities for which they have responsibilities.
In addition to actively serving as Ambassadors, members of the Planning Council will:
Identify, plan and facilitate a minimum of four training events each year. Ideally, these events will take place at a Harvesters partner agency or will include a service component and the opportunity for informal socializing.
In coordination with staff, develop approaches to promote a high level of participation in Ambassador opportunities, training and service events.
Regularly engage with Ambassador-oriented digital communications, including the Facebook group, web page, emails and newsletters.
Recruit candidates for the Ambassador program.
Collaborate with staff to regularly evaluate the program’s strategies and activities for Ambassador engagement and integration with the organization’s goals.
Harvesters provides the Planning Council with appropriate staff and resources as needed to ensure the Planning Council can carry out its key responsibilities. In addition, Harvesters will host a minimum of two events each year to provide ongoing training and the opportunity to reconnect with fellow Ambassadors and Harvesters staff and leadership.
