Ambassador Launch Party 2017
Ambassadors help create greater awareness and understanding of food insecurity in our community and how Harvesters works to meet that need. They speak with corporate and school groups about who is hungry and why, provide tours of the facility and facilitate experiential learning, and lead food drive or volunteer projects.
Harvesters plans a minimum of six training/social and service events each year, including sessions at agencies we serve, to provide ongoing training and the opportunity to get together with fellow Ambassadors and staff. Ambassadors are strongly encouraged to attend these fun and informative sessions to stay current and connected.

You can help Harvesters expand our reach and impact in the community! We will provide you with training and current messaging (talking points, scripts, social media posts, etc.) about how we address these issues as well as accurate statistics to educate the community. If you have professional skills and a desire to engage others in our mission, this opportunity may be perfect for you!
The Ambassador program is a one-year commitment, based on Harvesters’ fiscal year (July-June). Program participants should be willing to engage in community engagement activities on an average of once per month and attend the training/social and service events.
On an annual basis, Ambassadors will be asked to complete an activity preference and interest list and a skills set inventory so staff can facilitate an appropriate and meaningful match to projects, opportunities and actions.
If you have demonstrated a dedication to the issue of hunger through hands-on experience with Harvesters or another similar organization, please consider completing the following online form. Once your application is received, we will be happy to schedule an information interview with you.
