 Teresa used to take her family once a month to a local church—part of Harvesters’ network—for food assistance.
“That food was such a blessing to my family when I was getting less than $200 a month from my job and food stamps combined,” she said. “Harvesters helped me get back on my feet.”
Sadly, stories like Teresa’s unfold across Greater Kansas City every day.
Forty-eight percent of households turning to Harvesters include at least one adult who is working. Rising food and energy prices make it difficult for working families to make ends meet.
