Hunger in America 2010 is the most comprehensive study of domestic hunger ever undertaken. The result is a thorough examination of Americans who seek emergency food assistance and of the charitable hunger-relief system that serves them. The study was sponsored by Feeding America, and involved 185 food banks, including Harvesters.

Harvesters collected data about those seeking emergency food assistance across the 26-county area we serve in northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas, and about the agencies that serve them. When combined with data from food banks across the country, the study provides a comprehensive analysis of the face of hunger in America today.
